Our grantee partners are innovators and problem solvers.
Women’s Fund of Long Island is best known for our social change grantmaking program. Over 22 years, WFLI has distributed nearly 500 grants to almost 300 organizations touching more than 100,000 lives. These grants are based on a competitive process and our grants committee diligently reviews each proposal for maximum impact. Our grantee partners are innovators and problem solvers. They are advocates and leaders of community organizations that forge new solutions to meet the needs of Long Island’s women and girls.
With WFLI, even the smallest donations make a dramatic impact through our grantmaking. Our grants are often the first funds received by an organization to support new initiatives and/or respond to urgent needs of women and girls across Long Island. The collective power of donations from supporters just like you allows us to provide grants that address issues in the areas of economic opportunity, women’s rights, gender equity and leadership and to provide our grantee partners with capacity-building training and connections to potential partners.
WFLI has one grant cycle per calendar year that opens in January and closes in March. Awardees are notified in over the summer of WFLI's selection as a grantee partner. Meet one of our grantee partners, SEPA Mujer.
